How to Choose an Industrial Welding Rack

Count the machines assigned to each crew or work area, then choose the number of positions per rack. Rack-Pack offers four-, six- and eight-position models.

One 8-Pack keeps an eight-machine assignment together. Two 4-Packs split those machines into separate groups. For twelve machines, two 6-Packs create two groups; three 4-Packs create three. Access, available space and handling requirements also affect the arrangement.

Universal Welder Mounting supports major welder brands through 500 class. Final fit is confirmed from each machine’s make, model, dimensions and connection data. For mixed fleets, include every intended model and any alternatives that will use the rack.

Review the quoted rack dimensions, mounting details and clearances against the equipment and available space. Welding machines are supplied separately.

All three capacities offer the same package choices:

Lockable Tool Storage provides a compartment for cables, tools and consumables kept with the rack. Low Profile removes that compartment to reduce overall rack height.

Choose the arrangement for your machine dimensions, available space and support-equipment storage. Canopy-mounted operator lighting, custom branding and paint can also be included in the configuration.

For a powered rack, confirm the available source supply and the electrical requirements of the welding machines. Include tools, lighting, plasma equipment and other auxiliary loads.

The PDU configuration covers required inputs, outputs, field connections and protective devices. Cam-Lok connections and secondary feed-through can be considered within the project’s electrical requirements.

A Universal Base and attachable PDU provide a power-upgrade option for a serviceable existing rack. Fit is reviewed for the rack dimensions, mounting arrangement, installed machines and handling application.

Choose a new Rack-Pack when you need a different capacity, machine arrangement or complete equipment package. For a retrofit inquiry, include photographs and mounting information for the rack you want to retain.

Include rack models, quantities, packages, machine data and power requirements. Add the project country or location, required dates and any drawings or documentation needed for purchasing.
